FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ann Arbor, Michigan - August 17, 2011 - Today, Evernote added MemClip to their popular Trunk service, a showcase of software applications that work with Evernote to enhance the Evernote service. MemClip launched just a month ago, but has already reached the 79th spot in the list of most popular iPad productivity apps, making it the most popular web clipping iPad app in the Apple iTunes App Store in just a month. The addition of MemClip to the Evernote Trunk is likely to accelerate the apps popularity and help it to continue to be the preferred app for web clipping to the iPad and into Evernote.
"MemClip is proud to be added to the Evernote Trunk today," comments Keith Bourne, founder and CEO of Appervasive and MemClip partner, "This is another validation of the popularity of web clipping on the iPad, which just makes sense, since it is the ultimate web surfing device and web clipping has been so popular on other devices. Appervasive will continue to work with our partners to make MemClip the premier web clipping app. We have big plans for this app and you will see some great features and functionality coming out in the next few months in response to the feedback we continue to receive from our most helpful customers."
Users can access the Evernote Trunk through the Evernote iPad app or through the Evernote website. As stated on the Evernote website, you can "browse the Trunk for hardware, applications and notebooks that make your Evernote experience more awesome." The Evernote Trunk serves as an app portal for Evernote's more than 10 million users to find the very best of the apps that integrate with Evernote.
Appervasive announced the first release of MemClip in July of 2011, with a updated release soon after. Plans are currently underway to launch a major update with many new clipping features in September. MemClip development partner and iOS developer Priya Rajagopal has led the team in utilizing usage analytics to determine how the app is being implemented across all users, allowing Appervasive to determine the best improvements to make and drive the development process. The analytics are not personally indentifiable to any one user, but in aggregate provide a clear road map of what users find to be the most important functionality in the MemClip iPad app. In addition to analytics, Appervasive has made customer feedback a high priority in helping to drive the development process..
