FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MEMCLIP RELEASES VERSION 1.2 WITH DIRECT EVERNOTE INTEGRATION

The Customers Asked, MemClip Delivers Host of New Features with this Major Upgrade

Ann Arbor, Michigan - September 29, 2011 - MemClip announces today that its popular Evernote-integrated webclipping iPad app just got a major upgrade. MemClip has undergone some significant improvements in functionality thank you to the helpful feedback of over 50 customers over the past two months. .MemClip is an iPad app that allows you to save "web clippings" while surfing the Internet on your iPad, and then save it either locally or to the popular Evernote service. The new features that enhance this functionality include:

This version is a major upgrade from the previous version. Updates include:

Direct Webclip to Evernote - We've added a whole new way to add webclips to Evernote. You now have the option to send the webclip directly through the Evernote API (i.e. it sends through a direct connection, rather than through email). This way of sending the web clips provides better looking webclips, but those clips are not directly searchable by Evernote (Evernote will only add them as an attachment). So you will want to add tags and a title that will help you search, since those will still be searchable within Evernote.

Add Your Own Tags - One of the benefits of sending webclips directly to Evernote is that you can also add brand new tags (i.e. tags that are not already in Evernote). This still isn't possible with the email to Evernote option, because Evernote doesn't let you add new tags from email. You can however still add tags that are already existing in Evernote in both options.

Persistent Evernote Login - You asked, we listened! The previous way we handled the Evernote login caused you to have to login back in after a few hours of non-usage. Login is now persistent (i.e. you don't have to re-login anymore!).

Selecting a Default Webclipping Option - Since we now have three ways to clip, we wanted to make it easy to select the option you prefer as a default. You can now do this, and if you need to change it later, you just have to click on "My Preferences" and change it.

Local Webclipping More Prominent - It turns out many people like to use the local web clipping functionality (i.e. just clipping to MemClip, rather than to MemClip and Evernote). So we've made that easier to do.

MemClip is still fairly new to the App Store, having launched in July of 2011, but has already reached # 73 on the iPad most popular business apps and has been featured in the Evernote's Trunk service. The Evernote Trunk is a showcase of software applications that work with Evernote to enhance the Evernote service.

"We were very excited about all of the great feedback and feature requests we were getting from our customers," notes Keith Bourne, CEO of Appervasive and MemClip partner, "We have been hard at work trying to address the most requested and packed a lot of them into this new version. There was a wide variety of functionality we could have added, but ultimately, it is our customers that help us make the final decision on what to add next. We beleive this new version will help meet their needs and we will continue to develop and support the app to build other feature requests."
